Simple press fit stand for a cell phone or MP3 player

This tutorial will show you how to make a very simple stand for your cell phone, ipod, or mp3 player, using a program called OpenOffice.org

Step 1

Measure the item you want the stand to be able to hold.

Step 2

Create a rectangle in open office that is an inch taller than the object you want to hold.

Step 3

Create a smaller rectangle that is 0.5" thinner than your large rectangle and 0.5" tall. Place this smaller rectangle 0.5" from the bottom of the large rectangle.

Step 4

Create a rectangle that is exactly as wide as the smaller rectangle. Make this smaller rectangle 2 or 3 inches tall. This rectangle is used to prop the stand up so that it does not fall over.
