Activity Sheet

1: Stuff you need BEFORE the lesson:

1 computer per student.

Make sure every computer in the room has Hyperscore.

Headphones per person

2: Opening Concepts:

What is music in general

Explain what we will be doing today: Drawing a picture that makes sound

3: Focus of the Lesson:

- Making sounds that corresponds to other sounds

4: Teaching:

1: Have a small beat making session

2: Draw a picture on the harmony window

3. Tell them to provide a melody per melody window/percussion window

5: Wrap up:

1: Make sure everyone has cleaned up their area. Programs saved and closed, headphones away.

2: Circle up: Ask various people questions:

- Did you know that pictures could tell us stories through music?

- Do you know what each color does?

- What would you do differently if you were to do this again?

If everyone finishes early, have additional discussion – get feedback. What can be improved?
