Hyperscore Score Evaluation

Plan for 1 hour

 

First 10 minutes

Making sure all computers are working, headphones are plugged in and working, making sure all applications are closed, no solitaire, myspace, facebook etc., indentify where hyperscore is and open it

Explain HyperScore, giving each teacher a turn to say something different about the module.

next 10 minutes

talking about functions of the motive window and showing what happens inside of it.

changing the length of the motive window.

placing a note

resizing a note

note pitch location

instrument change

using playback

reminding them how and were to save their work

2&3 note motives rising and falling

grid setting (time signature, beat subdivisions)

next 10 minutes

talking about the functions of the percussion window and showing what happens inside of it.

what the different rows(tracks) represent, how they can be used to create a percussion set.

extending the length of the percussion window.

explaining that you can only change the instrument on the window by highlighting the track you want, that each track can only be a percussion instrument.

next 15 minutes

talking about the sketch window.

function of the sketch window, bringing parts from motives and percussion windows into the sketch window and making them work together

 

 

 

letting the kids explore all windows

(teachers moving around listening to children's explorations and giving ideas and help)

 

 

whatever time is left

explore hyperscore, letting them create their own music
