Hello! I'm Johanna and I am pursuing my PhD in Sociology at Boston College. I am interested in issues around technology, consumer culture, media, race, class, gender and many other things.

A few things about me:

• I grew up in Framingham, MA.
• I went to the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and majored in Sociology and minored in Computer Science. This is where I first became interested in the role of technology in society.
• I was an Americorps*VISTA for a year with Community Technology Centers Network (CTCNet), and then worked there for an additional year.
• I am studying how young people use and consume technology at Tent City and I'm really enjoying getting to know you guys and appreciate your willingness to share with me!
