Smart Bicycles
Identify a group of people who would like to use bicycles but don't want to own one.
Get some bikes.
Fix any bikes that need repairs.
Find locations that would be convenient for the user population to access and use them.
Develop a way of securing them.
Add electricity generation capabilities to the bikes to power electronics.
Build (or buy inexpensively) lighting and other safety features for the bikes.
Add communications technologies to the bikes.
Have the bikes communicate through the internet as to their status of repair, availability and location.
Build any needed circuits that would help the bikes.
Test the bicycle system and refine it so that it meets the needs of the user population.
Make adjustments in the system to have it work better for the long term.
