Hearing sensors: displays the loudness of the room or area. Speaker: play a sound of rhythm on pico blocks. Resistance: can connect the two alligator clips together to complete a circut. Display board: shows numbers or can be used as a timer. Eye sensor: displays the brightness of the room or area of light. Motor: makes anything run that will use a motor to open and close a door or run a car or a pulley. any other parts of the pico kit can ask questions or can use them in the projects giving by the youth teachers.
first 15 minutes.Explain the parts of the pico kit and also ask what senses they have and ask them questions about what they think they will do.
*explaining the sensors and the parts of the pico kit before they start building and programing the cars. by choosing one of the sensors from the kit they can learn the different ways of programing the car instead of having just a touch sensors taht will have the car run automatic.
After the first 15 minutes. pass out the cars and ask them which sensors they want to use to program and run the cars they got.
answer questions they might have. make them laugh and have fun with the cars while they build the cars they can add other lego or other things that they would like.
Anytime the kids finish with the project give them something else to do or give a challange that can help them understand pico more and make them more interested. add another sensor, create a better version of the project or have them add more to the project or give the kids more ideas about what they can do with the project
*program pico car with sensor of their choice. *add lights or anything else the kids want to add to it. *have them play with the motor center. *add legos or other things they want to add to the cars. *after they are done programing let them race the pico cars.
Pico lesson 2&3 for the centers.
*play with the motors have open and close a door or operate a car off of the sensors in the pico kits. *build multiple program blocks and have them play with the lights or add on to the car or whatever they are building. *give them challenge while building there projects given to them by the lead or support teacher that is there with you. *giving the kids good ideas and making them enjoy and have fun with the project or jus show them examples that are related or other projects that can be done with the pico cricket games or anything that kids will love to see.

I added some underlines, Capitol letters, and bolded text to make the First Lesson more readable. It is a small change but it makes a big difference for readability. Donna
