Energy that we can use other than gasoline, oil, coal, and other nonrenewable fuels.

List some alternative energy types of technologies.

Water wave motion, water as a fuel(hydrogen source), wind, geothermal, solar, hydrogen, biodiesel, hydropower

How to make electricity

Make a crank to generate electricity with a motor.

Use a solar panel to generate electricty from the sun.

Use a hydrogen fuel cell unit to generate electricity from hydrogen.

Assemble the fuel cell car and be able to describe the processes happening in the fuel cell car

Put it together and making it run on water.

Describe the purpose of each of the parts of the car.

What is Electrolysis and how is it used?

Definition of electrolysis.

Electrolysis is a process of breaking water into hydrogen and oxygen.

Electrolysis uses electricity.

Electrolysis is a chemical process.

Reverse electrolysis is a way of generating electricity.

Reverse electrolysis happens in the fuel cell.

The positive and negative probes in electrolyis give off different gasses (hydrogen or oxygen)

How to increase voltage with batteries and fuel cells

You can increase voltage by connecting the positive to the negative of two cells.

connecting more than one fuel cell will increase voltage.

You can figure out the voltage you will get on paper or with a voltage meter.

You can test your calculations about voltage with a volt meter.
