One player Fighting Game

Have a character fight a monster

 

1: Stuff you need BEFORE the lesson:

1 computer per student.

Optional: Headphones

 

2: Opening Concepts:

What are variables and how to use them.

Using contro buttons "Forever ifs"

Using sensing buttons - "Touching ---"

The use of operators along with variables

 

3: Focus of the Lesson:

A fully functioning challenging game that can be played among peers.

   

4: Teaching:

1. Show a quick example of the game.

2. Do a demonstration of a robot cleaning a house (Explain what if robot hits table, then do what.) To get kids to start thinking logically step by step.

3. Ask what's in a game, typically speaking.

4.  Make two sprites, a background and start making a scripts and bring up possible case scenarios

5. Have them add music or sounds to it
