this program has made a positive impact on my son, he has enjoyed the daily challenges of the  program, this is a wonderful program for the youth in our community, please continue with the good work

From Michelle Pless-Joseph

My son Elias was so excited to be chosen for this program. I have noticed the growth in his skills as a leader and as an engineer. I am thankful for the experience that you all have given him.

                                                                                                                                       From Grandmother Pless

This has been a wonderful experience for Elias, it has only added to what I see as a developing leader.

Carmen Guerra

My son is Gordon Guerra and I am so proud of him.  This program is definately part of the reason why Gordon has some stability in his life. Gordon has grown so much in the last year compared to where he was at a year ago and I believe that the program is the reason for the change. We are so proud of you Gordon and many more success in life. Love Dad and Mom.

Marlon & Cecile Wilson

Our son Naeem had a time to express himself thru working with the group and growing each day.  It was interesting to the smile & excitement as he discussed his project and working with the younger kids.  Naeem really loved working, learning and growing at the program.  We are all so proud and happy of what Naeem has accomplished here at the Learn 2 Teach program., i know he really worked hard.

This is the second year my daughter, Olivia, has participated in Learn 2 Teach.  The program has made a real difference in her life and interests: it has been wonderful to see her so engaged in something so productive.  I've noticed that she has been far more disciplined and motivated in school since she started at Learn 2 Teach.  She has even signed up for AP Computer Science this coming school year, and is enthusiastic about pursuing computer science in college.  Thank you so much for making this possible!

Paulette Vass

This my daughter Shameya's first year participating in the Learn 2 Teach program.  I am amazed at how dedicated she is to the program. I am also amazed by all of the different projects she has participated in so far. I am excited to see all of the projects in the Expo but especially the stairs that her group has been working on. She has spent many late nights working on it and I know it will be a success for her and her group. This program has allowed me to watch as my daughter grow with her sense of responsibility and commitment. A great learning experience for all. Thank you.

From Susan Klimczak:

I am so proud of all of you!  It dazzles me to think about how much you have grown over the past 6 months.  We have laughed, shed tears and shouted cries of outrage, learned, taught children and each other, and made things together; ALL of that matters and is a part of this wonderful imperfect but amazing process we call Learn 2 Teach, Teach 2 Learn.  You are an inspiration to your community and to the world.  Today we celebrate you and all that you have contributed through your hard work!

This is my first time visiting the South End Technology Center, and I am very excited to see the project presentations. The fact that these presentations are being performed by kids my age makes this event all the more impressive.

I am very impressed with what these young people are doing.  I read about the various projects in the program.  Can't wait to see the projects in action.

From Dean Carthy

I am happy this program is available for my child who seems eager to attend each year (3rd).  It is hard sometimes to get kids motivated to do things but this program has helped us.  Please keep up the good work at teaching our kids.

I'm here on personal invitation of one of the college mentors, who I met in an MIT Media Lab training for teachers this spring.  Stacy held her own in a room of much older educators and inspired me to keep in touch with her over the course of the summer to see her progress.  Coming to the expo today, I am constantly amazed by the creativity and sheer persistence of the youth in this program, especially when they not only create but then share this energy with younger members of the community.  But really, behind the invention and technology, is a culture of friendship and sharing that is the true power of this program.
