Collin and Ed will be running a Modkit/Arduino workshop on Monday July 12, 2010
We will be organizing the workshop around your ACTUAL needs for your project so if you want to use arduino in your project, please comment answering the following questions below:
1) Name of group
2) Group members attending workshop
3) What will you be doing with arduino?
4) What do you need to sense in the environment? Examples are light sensors, sounds sensors, temperature, distance sensors../to sense when money is entered and proceed to run the motor for tenth of a second
If you don't know what sensors you need, you can say WHAT you want to sense/money
5) What actuators (motors/lights/etc) will you need to control
6) What communication will you need (wireless link, internet, etc)?

4) humidity sensor..we need plaster of paris(aka gypsum plaster)..for the temp sensor we need a thermistor..then we need wires and LED lights in red and blue.

2) Ariana, Joshua Donald, Beckett Dunning, Xia
3) We will be using it to control the mechanism which will open and close the lid of the trash can.
4) We will need motion sensors, proximity sensors, touch sensors, and perhaps sound sensors as well.
5) We will be using motors to open and close the lid as well as a button which will perhaps be used to open as an alternate method.
6) Non that is known of as of yet.
